Bob Hawke College in Subiaco opened in February 2020 to more than 250 Year 7 students and is the first high density public secondary college in Western Australia. The Role
Bob Hawke College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join their team of committed mathematics educators. Our ideal applicant would have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to achieving exceptional educational outcomes for all students. Applicants will ideally use their skills to contribute to the development of the Mathematics Department and effectively build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels as we continue to grow our vibrant and innovative College.

Mathematics Teachers at Bob Hawke College are part of a high performing team that work closely together to promote a love of mathematics, problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset in our young people. We have a passion for teaching and learning and enjoy exploring new pedagogical processes. Our mathematics program is very innovative and continuum-based, with a focus on inclusivity and providing individualised learning, using Maths Pathway as the primary resource in Years 7 and 8. New members of our mathematics team should be comfortable working with technology as an integral part of their teaching practice. They should also embrace an open-door teaching style and be ready to team teach combined classes of children through a program of problem-solving tasks and mathematical explorations that is a key part of our mathematics courses.
The successful applicant will ideally be innovative, knowledgeable, and possess a high level of instructional and curriculum expertise whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within Mathematics teaching.
