North Tom Price Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principals for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
North Tom Price PS is one of two primary schools located at Tom Price in the Pilbara region of WA, approximately 1465km from Perth. The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally have strong knowledge of the Western Australian curriculum and, through coaching, be able to lead teachers in an inclusive approach that balances the explicit teaching required to develop sound literacy and numeracy skills, with cooperative and collaborative techniques that support social and emotional development.
Suitable applicants will have the capacity to lead high impact teaching strategies in the school and have proven experience in the planning and delivery of engaging literacy and numeracy programs. A deep understanding of how to differentiate to meet the needs of all students will be highly regarded, as will the ability to use a variety of assessment tools to inform progress, enable constructive feedback and drive future planning at the classroom and school level.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally be a passionate educator, committed to making a difference in the lives of young people with a strong understanding of the Quality Teaching Strategy and evidence based practices. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team environment.
