Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25kms south of Perth. The school is surrounded by luscious greenery and forms part of the vibrant, multicultural community of Piara Waters. The school commenced with Year 7 students in 2023, and presently has Year 7 and 8 cohorts. Each year the school adds to its growing cohort, until it reaches Year 12 in 2028.

The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and organised School Officer to join our team and help manage the financial and operational aspects of our school. You will play a vital role in ensuring the financial stability of the school, while also managing the school's assets and supporting administrative staff.
The successful applicant will ideally have a friendly, positive and caring attitude and possess the qualities to promote excellence within our school. You should use initiative and ideally possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work collaboratively with a range of people. You will also ideally have strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the capacity to work under pressure, prioritising tasks in a dynamic workplace.
As a School Officer at our new high school, you should model effective, quality customer and administrative support service delivery to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community and teaching staff. In addition, you would operate a range of software packages, particularly databases, word processing and management information systems including timetabling. You will also create and prepare school materials for print and digital publication to promote the school on a range of platforms.
Adaptability will be desirable as this role will change in context as the school grows. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of processes and systems.
You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal applicant will be a team player with a positive attitude and a passion for working in a team-oriented culture.
