North East Metropolitan Language Development Centre (NEMLDC) is looking to establish a pool of Business Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
NEMLDC is a specialist school for Kindy to Year 2 students with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). Staff work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on developing students’ oral language skills to support literacy.
NEMLDC has classes over three campuses (co-located with West Morley, Beechboro and North Balga Primary Schools) to enable all children with DLD in our catchment area to have access to our program. Staff are employed and scheduled to work across all campuses. Each campus is well resourced and staffed with teachers, speech pathologists and education assistants.

The Role
As a Business Support Officer you will be responsible to the Manager of Corporate Services for providing assistance with financial resources and supporting with human resource management of the school. This includes undertaking account and GST coding, reconciliations, invoice processing and general office administration including collating figures for financial planning and budgeting.
Suitable applicants will possess strong organisational skills in delivering and prioritising tasks when under pressure and may be required to work without supervision. As a team player you will demonstrate good verbal and written communication and be able to liaise with staff and students.
