We are seeking to establish a pool of Finance and Administration Officer for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Founded in 1955, Mount Lawley Senior High School (SHS) is located 5 kilometres from the Perth CBD. It comprises three sub-schools: Years 7 & 8, Years 9 & 10 and Years 11 & 12. It hosts a Gifted and Talented Languages program, a Specialist Visual and Performing Arts program, a Music program and the innovative Aboriginal Excellence Program. The school offers a breadth of curriculum choices and has a rich history of student success and achievement.

A major strength of the school is its strong links and partnerships with parents and the broader community. All staff at Mount Lawley SHS are committed to the provision of learning programs that cater for all post-school destinations including university, State Training Providers and employment.

The Role

The Finance and Administration Officer will be responsible for assisting the Manager Corporate Services in the financial and administration processes in the school. Suitable applicants will coordinate financial and administration tasks and undertake financial planning, monitoring, research, and analysis to meet the outcomes of the school’s business plan.

The ideal applicant will assist the Manager Corporate Services (MCS) with procurement and asset purchases and help prepare budget documents for the school’s Board and Finance Committee. You will also manage the school's Hire of Facilities program, including building and maintaining relationships with facility hire customers. Additionally, you will support the management of the school's human resources, including staff selection, appointment processes, and processing relief payments for casual staff through (Human Resource Management Information System) HRMIS.

It is highly desirable for applicants to have knowledge of a variety of computer systems and be highly organised to meet stringent reporting deadlines plus be experienced working in a busy administrative environment. Experience with the School Information System (SIS) Administration, advanced RM Billing knowledge, RM Finance, and MS Office producing mail merge documents and excel spread sheets would be highly desirable, as would recent experience within the Schools Resourcing System and working within a One Line Budget.
