The Role

Join our team as Senior Gardener Handyperson and contribute to fostering a positive learning environment! As a key member, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the school grounds, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and conducive to a positive environment for both students and staff. From overseeing the turf areas, garden beds, and shrubs to managing hard landscaping features like courts and tiered limestone seating areas, you'll play a vital role in creating an inviting and inspiring outdoor space.

Your commitment to maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in a good condition will be integral to promoting a positive culture within the school. Collaborate with the Manager Corporate Services and the Facilities Coordinator to develop safe work procedures, undertake risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation.

The successful applicant should have effective communication skills to help develop and maintain good working relationships with school staff and external stakeholders.  You will be responsible for managing at least two gardening staff.

If you're passionate about cultivating not just landscapes but also a positive and vibrant school culture, we welcome you to be part of our team!
