The Role

Eaton Community College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant college. Our ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics and empower them to achieve their full potential. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment, you’ll engage students of varying abilities, ensuring every learner thrives.

You will plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that align with the Western Australian Curriculum, employing contemporary teaching methods that cater to diverse learning needs.  Your contributions will extend beyond the classroom, actively collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and improve student outcomes. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential, as you will reflect on your teaching effectiveness and adapt your methods in alignment with best practices.

The successful applicant should be committed to promoting Mathematics and encouraging student engagement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated. Experience in delivering Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (ATAR) and General courses is highly desirable, but not essential.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Eaton Community College in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 500 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure).  Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year.  Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.   

The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.  At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
