The Role
The successful applicant would ideally actively contribute and support the collaborative approach already in place to further develop the culture of excellence in the HPE teaching and learning program. They should possess highly effective interpersonal skills, be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated. They should have an inclusive approach with strong teaching and classroom management skills and the ability to challenge and engage all students, promoting an environment of active and positive learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, are highly regarded for this position.
Greenwood College is looking for a ‘team first’ educator with a proven ability to create, develop and deliver innovative, relevant, and challenging courses and programs across a range of ability levels from Year 7 to Year 12, including utilising data to identify suitable Senior Secondary academic pathways in the HPE Learning Area. Experience planning and teaching Years 7 -12 Health and Outdoor Education curriculum, specifically ATAR Health Studies, as well as leading extra-curricular activities including coaching representative teams in Netball, Swimming and Soccer would be considered favourably for this position.
The successful applicant will ideally display through their application that they are a committed team member and have experience to lead and drive HPE specialist courses, initiatives and strongly contribute to the wide range of extra-curricular activities that Greenwood College offers. An ability to work effectively with a diverse range of students, differentiate programs to accommodate for high and low achieving students from various ethnic backgrounds and understand the contextual requirements of the Greenwood College student environment is essential to this position.
