South Ballajura Education Support Centre (ESC) are seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and committed Education Support Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year.

The Role

Ideal applicants should have sound knowledge of how students learn and an understanding of effective, evidence based instructional strategies to ensure high impact teaching. Applicants should also display competency in making curriculum differentiation and modifications to support students learning and promote augmentative, alternative communication for students with complex communication needs.

Applicants should be familiar with the Western Australian Curriculum, ABLEWA, Early Years Framework, Special Education Needs (SEN) Reporting and Reporting to Parents, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). You must also be able to use a range of assessment and reporting strategies to monitor and display student achievement in relation to learning outcomes. It is essential that teachers have a positive behaviour approach to managing challenging student behaviours.

Teachers will need to establish and maintain effective relationships with Education Support and local primary school colleagues and actively lead and support a team of Education Assistants to ensure high quality, effective learning experiences for all students. Also important is the ability to collaborate with external agency representatives to support positive outcomes for students.
