We are seeking to establish a pool of Cleaner for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The school is highly respected within the local area and shares a common site with Willetton Senior High School and Castlereagh School. We foster and maximise every opportunity for the high school students and staff to further their learning opportunities by working with our students. In addition, Burrendah Primary School (PS) shares a close working relationship with the other primary schools in the area, with many programs achieving very positive outcomes for students. Time and engagement with students and staff within the school and the local education community offers great rewards and the successful applicant will be a welcome addition to a dynamic team.

The Role

Under the Cleaner in Charge, suitable applicants should ideally be conscientious workers, having knowledge of the cleaning processes and cleaning equipment. Suitable applicants should have pride in your work and will assist the team as they strive to keep the school environment clean and safe in accordance with Department procedures. Previous experience will be an advantage but is not necessary.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment including operating and safety instructions is a key component of this role. The ability to interpret Material Safety Data Sheets is also required. Suitable applicants should be able to communicate effectively, as well as be able to work as a member of a team.
