We are seeking to establish a pool of Cleaners In Charge for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Guildford Primary School (PS) proudly sits on Whadjuk land and has a continuous history since 1833, making it the oldest Primary School in Western Australia. We think of the site as being a place of learning for over 40 000 years and are actively striving to become a culturally responsive school.

The Role

The Cleaner in Charge is responsible for inducting, training, leading, and managing cleaning staff including relief staff; monitoring and ordering stock supplies within your budget; maintenance and stocktake of cleaning equipment; undertaking cleaning of allocated internal and external areas; opening and locking the college, including setting the security alarm system; and conducting twice daily hand over with the Manager Corporate Services.

The suitable applicants will ideally have good attention to detail and will be able to work well with others to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual. The suitable applications should work well both individually and as part of a team and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
