This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025

Miling Primary School (PS) is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join our highly successful team.

Situated just over 2 hours from Perth within the Wheatbelt region, Miling PS is an Independent Public School that caters for children from Kindergarten to Year Six. At Miling PS, we provide high quality education, nurturing the growth and development of every child. We have a long and proud history, and our enrolments are drawn predominantly from our surrounding farming families. Our extraordinary P & C have contributed significantly to the excellent resources we use in our teaching and learning experiences every day, and our school grounds boast an adventure playground, a large covered outdoor play area, sporting turf area, basketball court, tennis court and a thriving kitchen garden. We are a Positive Behaviour School with our core values of Respect, Co-operation, Perseverance and Kindness underpinning everything we do inside and outside the classroom.

The town of Miling has outstanding facilities for recreation including golf, tennis, hockey and football. Modern and spacious accommodation is available to teaching staff just 52 steps from school!! Great meals and great times are available at the newly re-opened Miling Hotel. For a tiny town we have a huge heart which is why everyone is always smiling in Miling.

The Role

Miling PS is seeking a dedicated teacher who is genuinely excited at the opportunity to make a positive difference in a child’s life. The successful applicant will be motivated, hardworking, reliable, and enthusiastic. Our highly experienced team will mentor and support you every step of the way.

Using the Western Australian Curriculum, you will ideally work collaboratively with the teaching team to create engaging, differentiated learning experiences that embrace the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework and cater for a multi-age classroom setting. Ideally, the successful applicant will have an understanding of play based learning with intentionality. The successul applicant should quickly establish a positive and welcoming classroom environment with high expectations and communicate effectively to build positive and productive relationships with our children, their families, and our fantastic community.
