This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025
Jerramungup District High School (DHS) is located in the wheat and sheep farming community of Jerramungup, 440km south east of Perth. It is situated within the Fitzgerald Biosphere which is part of the acclaimed Fitzgerald National Park, located nearby to the east of Jerramungup. Nearby to the south is the coastal community of Bremer Bay. Students from five small towns and communities in the region attend Jerramungup District High School for their secondary education. Jerramungup works very closely with these schools to ensure that the transition between the two is seamless. A school bus service is available to transport students to the school from each community and farm in the region. The school currently caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 10. Other educational facilities in Jerramungup include a playgroup, day care centre and community resource centre.

The Role
It is highly desirable if the successful applicant can show they are able to develop and implement creative and reflective learning programs that support student learning. They will have a high level of community engagement and understand how to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, the wider community, and external agencies.
Applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisation skills that lead to a supportive and safe learning environment. Ideally teachers will be energetic, enthusiastic and display a wide repertoire of teaching strategies that embrace the differentiation of the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework, explicit teaching and digital technologies.
