The Role
Fremantle College is seeking to appoint a motivated and innovative Head of Learning (HOLA) – Mathematics to join their supportive leadership team.
The HOLA - Mathematics provides high quality leadership to staff within the mathematics learning area. As the successful applicant you should be an exemplary classroom practitioner who can lead the implementation of excellence in teaching and learning across the Mathematics Learning Area. You should possess an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, assessment and reporting requirements for Years 7 to 12.
The successful applicant will ideally have high standards of professionalism and embrace opportunities for collaboration and partnerships within and beyond the college community. The ability to work positively and effectively in teams and be open to new thinking is highly desirable.
As an expert practitioner, you should have a commitment to excellence in teaching and engage in ongoing self-reflection. The ability to authentically evaluate the effectiveness of teaching practice and team performance is an important aspect of the role. Another key attribute is the ability to create environments conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are purposeful and relevant, catering for different student learning needs.
