We are seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principals for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 and 2025 school years. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
West Byford Primary School (PS) is a level 6 school that opened in February 2013. The school is located on Kardan Boulevard, Byford; approximately 41kms south of Perth and situated in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale. The Role
As a Deputy Principal, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the school and will be responsible for a range of tasks and duties. You will work closely with the Principal and the administrative team to provide educational leadership in the school and the community. This involves helping to develop and promote the school's values, ethos, and priorities, and encouraging staff, volunteers, and others to share ownership of the school's vision and goals.
You will ideally use effective change management strategies to assist the school community to accept and develop opportunities for improved service. This means keeping up to date with educational research and trends, and using this knowledge to drive improvement and innovation within the school.
In collaboration with the Principal and other members of the administrative team, you will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that the school is operating effectively and efficiently. This includes contributing to the development of the School Plan through participative decision-making and using your professional knowledge and understanding to promote teaching and learning within the school community.
