The Role

Fremantle College is seeking a hardworking, motivated and effective leader to join our college’s Leadership Team in the role of Follow the Dream Coordinator.

As the Follow the Dream Coordinator, you will be essential in offering strategic leadership and nurturing a positive school culture. Your responsibilities will include coordinating all aspects of the Follow the Dream program and effectively integrating the program into the operation of the college.

The program coordinator is responsible for planning, organising and managing all aspects of the program including; 

  • fostering relationships with emerging and current Follow the Dream students, their parents, families and the community; 
  • individual case management of each student to understand their individual aspirations and learning needs and to determine an appropriate personalised plan; 
  • participating in school leadership team meetings; 
  • managing the tuition for the program, including the recruitment, performance management and professional learning of each tutor and collaboratively developing a tutoring plan for each student; 
  • responsible management and monitoring of the Follow the Dream budget; advocating for and promoting the Follow the Dream program in all school settings including primary schools, in the local Aboriginal communities and in the broader community; and   
  • demonstrating a developed cultural awareness and modelling culturally responsive approaches.  

To be successful you should have a deep understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies, experience in the development of positive student culture and commitment to ongoing professional learning. Additionally, you will ideally implement effective decision-making processes and practices that strengthen the leadership team.
