We are seeking to establish a pool of Humanities and Social Sciences Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Yanchep Secondary College (SC) provides young people in the Yanchep area with a high quality, comprehensive education. Yanchep SC opened in 2018 in a brand new purpose built school. We enrol students from year 7 to year 12 and offer a broad, high-level curriculum encompassing academic programs and vocational courses to provide students with opportunities to pursue learning interests which inspire and challenge them.

Our school is designed to give students access to specialist subject teaching and a challenging curriculum that inspires excellence. Yanchep SC is part of the Metropolitan Teaching Program for hard to staff schools which provides teaching staff with an additional allowance in additional to their normal entitlements.

The Role

Suitable applicants should have proven abilities in learning program planning and high impact instructional practice to facilitate improved student outcomes in Humanities and Social Science. We are seeking teachers who are ideally strong team players who support improvement in teaching and learning in a senior high school environment. You should model a culture of self-reflection and engage in coaching practices which promote professional growth.

Applicants should have a moral purpose that aligns with making a difference in the lives of young people by preparing them to be active and productive adults. You will ideally support the commitment of creating a safe, student-centred environment while working with the Humanities and Social Science learning area to meet the learning needs of all students including students with disabilities and special needs.
