Champion Bay SHS located in Geraldton, opened in 2019 and caters for students in Year 7 to 12. We are currently a partner in the Geraldton Lighthouse Program, a program developing and implementing best practice for students with autism.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be dedicated, innovative and proactive in ensuring that the Student Services team provides students, parents, and teachers with outstanding service. Demonstrated skills and experience working in a pastoral care capacity is highly desirable. The successful applicant will have oversight of the Year 10 to 12 student cohorts in 2025. The pastoral care focus of this role may change in subsequent years. The school has a supportive culture where all members are valued and treated with respect. The Student Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing an effective, cohesive Student Services team to ensure successful implementation and monitoring processes for managing student welfare, health, and mental well-being.
As the Manager of Student Services, you will work alongside other middle leaders at the school to apply your professional knowledge, understanding and data informed practices to promote teaching, learning and student well-being with the school community and assist in setting the school strategic direction. You would be responsible for promoting and maintaining aspects of the school culture that encourage and support positive relationships and active engagement between students, staff, parents, and the wider community. The successful applicant would also build the professional capacity of the Student Services Team by providing high level support and guidance via mentoring and management as well as modelling effective conflict resolution strategies and proactive positive whole school initiatives, including but not limited to, student leadership, whole school events with external partners and primary to high school transition.
