The Role
We're seeking motivated and enthusiastic Health and Physical Education teachers to join our friendly team.
The successful applicants should have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to plan and implement effective teaching and learning programs and assist in departmental events.
They should also have the ability to develop positive, respectful relationships with their students and use effective interpersonal skills to work closely with students, colleagues, and the community.
The successful applicants should have the capability to create and maintain a supportive and safe learning environment in which students are able to achieve to their highest potential.They should also have the skills to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment using Positive Behaviour Support and a ‘restorative’ approach that focuses on building resilience and self-confidence.
The successful applicants would be expected to be familiar with the Teaching for Impact framework and understand what effective teachers believe, know and do to enable students to succeed.
Suitable applicants will ideally have training and experience in teaching Year 7 to 10 Health and Physical Education. The ability to teach AFL, Outdoor Education or Certificate courses is desirable but not essential for the multiple positions available.
