The Role
We have several permanent positions available across our arts program including performing and visual arts / arts generalist to teach across areas.
Cecil Andrews College is looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Visual Arts teacher to join our team of excellent educators. As a member of our team, you will be expected to continue developing our popular Visual Arts program and potentially teach in the Senior School. We encourage our students to embrace their stories and cultures, with many expressing themselves through our Arts programs including our Specialist Arts Program. The Ability to collaborate with your colleagues to enhance student outcomes across the Arts is highly desirable.
The successful applicant should possess the professional knowledge, understanding, and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant curriculum through a finely crafted program that emphasises essential content and is tailored to student needs and interests. This position entails the ability to access data to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high- and low-achieving students. You should build positive relationships, focus on students' strengths, and harness your passion for educating our students to help them find their future pathways.
You should ideally be highly motivated, student and relationship focused, and able to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences. You should utilise innovative initiatives and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This should involve reflecting upon and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice, as well as cultivating a safe learning environment, underpinned by our core value of respect.
