This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency.
Located in Hammond Park on Irvine Parade, the college opened in 2020 to Year 7 Students. The college buildings include state of the art classrooms, a library, administration and extensive student services area. The college also features specialist facilities for performing and visual arts, science laboratories, food and textiles, design and technology workshops and a gymnasium. The cafeteria is the hub of the central precinct and provides indoor and outdoor seating, landscaped gardens and open spaces. Multipurpose courts and oval were also included in the first stage of the build.
In 2025 the college will be a full 7-12 senior secondary school offering a diverse range of pathways for our students, and a range of growth opportunities for our teachers.

The Role
The Teacher - Career and Vocational Education will provide educational leadership in the delivery and development of Vocational Education Training (VET) programs within the school and wider community. The successful applicant will work as part of a highly committed and dedicated team supporting students in their senior schooling journey and subsequent post school transition to employment, training, or further education. The successful applicant should promote the value of VET and endorsed programs to students, staff, parents and the wider community.
Strong organisational skills and extensive knowledge of career pathways, Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) requirements; in particular VET pathways and current industry requirements is important for this role. An understanding of the local community context is also an advantage.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and in-depth knowledge of VET courses, experience in Work Place Learning, working with RTOs, and an understanding of Auspice arrangements is highly desirable. A teacher with knowledge of Reporting To Parents (RTP) in managing VET, endorsed programs and SCSA deadlines is essential for the role. Having the ability to deliver a certificate qualification would be advantageous.
