The Role

The ICT Architecture and Systems Analysis branch contributes to our strategic directions by providing effective governance and support for the delivery of innovative and secure digital capability. If successful, you will analyse and translate stakeholder needs from business requirements into implementable software requirements, configurations and solutions. You will be required to develop and maintain knowledge of client business processes and make an active contribution to the improvement of these processes through inputs into the development, modification and maintenance of systems.
The Business Systems Analyst develops appropriate design, configuration and testing activities and documentation (technical specifications and workflow processes) in accordance with application environments. They analyse business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and design, develop and implement new and enhanced processes to maximise quality of service and cost effectiveness.
This role requires the successful applicant to support project management for business process changes (whether legislative, industrial, policy or administratively based). In addition, the successful applicant will undertake business systems analysis and design, including data modelling, process flow modelling and process re-engineering.
