Housing and Transport are seeking to establish a pool of Senior Housing and Transport Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of October, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role
The Senior Housing and Transport Officer will determine employee eligibility through set criteria and coordinate the allocation of Department and Government Regional Officers’ Housing (GROH) accommodation. The suitable applicants will arrange and coordinate transport of employees, their furniture, effects and motor vehicles to and from remote and difficult-to-staff regional schools and offices, and facilitate, calculate and monitor payment of associated expenses and allowances.
The suitable applicants will coordinate approval of leased accommodation rental increases, lease renewals and invoice payments whilst coordinating, monitoring and reviewing vacancy rates and the provision of reliable, cost-effective transport services to relocate employees to and from remote locations. You will provide operational advice and recommendations on future rental/leasing needs, including additional and replacement housing and the location, number and configuration of housing.
Availability of leave is limited during the peak operational period, occurring annually from 1 November to 28 February.
