Arts and Culture Trust are looking for a Senior Work Health and Safety Consultant who will not only lead but also inspire a culture of safety across multiple Arts and Culture Trust venues, places and spaces. This is a great opportunity to be a pivotal force in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment whilst championing the well-being of all staff and stakeholders across our venues.
As the Senior WHS Consultant, your purpose is clear: to provide expert advice, support and leadership in health and safety management. This role is the driving force behind compliance, safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment, and promoting a culture of safety among employees, contractors, and patrons.
This is a rare opportunity to work in the live events industry with family friendly hours. Whilst there may be the odd occasion of working during a live event, your work will mostly be in standard office hours.

In this role you'll be the driving force in the development and delivery of engaging WHS programs, training sessions, and educational resources that equip our staff and volunteers with the skills and confidence they need to work safely and effectively. Safety is an ever-evolving landscape, and you'll be leading the charge. You'll develop and steer our WHS goals, strategies, and plans, always staying ahead of the curve by monitoring legislative changes, performing gap analyses, and recommending actionable improvements that keep our operations safe and compliant.

To be successful for this position, you must possess the following:
- Deep understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices, with a proven track record in implementing diverse WHS strategies and managing projects.
- Demonstrated success in delivering safety and risk management results within complex environments.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, educate, and build strong relationships with diverse audiences, including senior management.
Arts and Culture Trust have embarked on an ambitious change agenda, and this position will temporarily report to the Manager Human Resources, before reporting to the Director Business Services.
