We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Primary for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year, up to the end of Term 3, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Rockingham Lakes Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School that opened in 2002 and is located in the established suburb of Port Kennedy. Enrolment is currently approximately 500 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

The Role
We are seeking teaching staff who are ideally passionate about developing lifelong learners, are highly collaborative, will engage with coaching and willing to continually self-reflect and improve upon their own performance and whole school priorities. Rockingham Lakes PS has a Visible Learning approach to teaching and learning with a focus on our six learner qualities, effective lesson design and targeted feedback. Student Wellbeing is at the forefront of our Behaviour Management Policy.
Suitable applicants should work to further develop and embed our whole school programs and pedagogical approaches. Experience with Zones of Regulation, Talk for Writing, Let’s Decode, daily reviews, and Back to Front Maths is considered advantageous but not essential.
Early Childhood Education (ECE) applicants should possess knowledge and implementation of current educational research including best practice in early literacy and numeracy development and play based learning. Specialist teachers are encouraged to indicate their area of expertise.
Suitable applicants should ideally be able to work within a distributed leadership model that incorporates our Administration Team, Professional Learning Community Leaders, and Teacher Leaders responsible for the priority areas listed in our Business Plan 2024-2026. Collaborative planning, data analysis and a commitment to focus on the development of students in collaboration with Year Level Teams is expected.
