We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant - Special Needs - Lead (SNEAL) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

The role of the SNEA - Lead is to work closely with the Head of Learning Support to lead, mentor, coach, and model good practices for other Education Assistants. The suitable applicants will plan and deliver the worksite induction and training of other Education Assistants. They will ideally assist in the performance management of Education Assistants, including conducting classroom observations and providing feedback.  In consultation with teachers, parents/caregivers and the Student Case Management Team, or other relevant professionals, the SNEA - Lead will ideally contribute to the design and implementation of documented plans and to provide solutions and support to teachers, which promote positive student behaviour and improved educational outcomes in the classroom.
