About the position
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual with good interpersonal and communication skills to provide support to the AGWA Development Team to maintain and grow philanthropic support for the Gallery. The role is important in building relationships with a range of stakeholders, including current and potential donors and funders. This will require professional management of the relationship database and providing assistance in implementing fundraising strategies and initiatives, supporting the Foundation Manager and Fundraising Manager.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is the State’s premier Art Museum. Situated in the heart of Perth’s Cultural Centre, the Main and Centenary Galleries house the State Art Collection of over 18,700 works by renowned local and international artists from the 1800’s to today, including approximately 3,000 Aboriginal works. In 2020, the Gallery celebrated 125 years of operation.
Location
This position is located in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
Other Conditions
This is a part time, fixed term vacancy, for a period of 12 months, with a possibility of extension and/or permanency.
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered - fixed term, part time and full time.
