About the position

This position assists with the administration of the Corporate Services directorate and business area of the Art Gallery by providing an administrative support service to the Executive, under the direction of the Executive Officer.

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Administrative Assistant who can multi-task, paying attention to detail, while supporting  the operations of the Corporate Services area.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is the State’s premier Art Museum. Situated in the heart of Perth’s Cultural Centre, the Main and Centenary Galleries house the State Art Collection of over 18,700 works by renowned local and international artists from the 1800’s to today, including approximately 3,000 Aboriginal works. In 2020, the Gallery celebrated 125 years of operation.

Location

This position is located in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts. 

Conditions

This is a full time, permanent vacancy. Consideration will be given to part-time and/or job share arrangements, should the right person apply.

A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time.

In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered - permanent and fixed term, part time and full time.
