This is a permanent full-time position commencing October 2024.
The Office of Education Business Services (OEBS) provides strategic advice on Education Business Services (EBS) matters and ensures effective operational support to the Deputy Director General. Supporting EBS to deliver excellence to the agency, OEBS provides oversight and consistency across EBS business areas and coordinates and manages the EBS people and business plans to increase support for our customers and enhance our processes and capability. Engaging with key stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, we coordinate programs to enhance the capability and capacity of EBS and school corporate services staff to further benefit schools.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced person to join our team to deliver business reporting, improvement and communication initiatives across EBS. The Senior Improvement and Communications Consultant implements and incorporates contemporary communication strategies designed to enhance and promote activities across EBS. If successful in the role, you will coordinate, manage and monitor the overarching EBS Business Plan and support the development of divisional business plans, as well as contributing to the planning and project management of business reform, capability building and service improvement initiatives.
You will also plan, implement and evaluate content for the Department’s intranet (Ikon) platform and other communications, including the EBS Home (SharePoint) site, and provide specialist advice and support to EBS business areas. Part of your role will be to contribute to the development and implementation of business process mapping and service improvement initiatives to facilitate development of work systems, policies, governance processes and tools.
