We are seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Newton Moore Senior High School (SHS) provides students from Year 7 to 12 with a personalised educational experience. The school, at the heart of South Bunbury, has a strong sense of community and celebrates the strengths of students through a variety of innovative programs.

The Role

Newton Moore SHS is looking for passionate individuals to make a valuable addition to our friendly teaching team in this challenging and rewarding role.

This role will suit applicants who are highly motivated, student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful academic and pastoral care learning experiences. Suitable applicants are encouraged to share their experiences and strengths as these will inform appointments from this pool.

We are looking for applicants who can develop a supportive and positive learning environment, ideally possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Suitable applicants will ideally have the ability to elicit positive student behaviour using an educative approach. They should have a commitment to inclusive education and a strategic approach in planning for improved student outcomes.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.  At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
