Financial Planning and Resourcing are looking for a motivated Senior Resourcing Officer to join their School Funding team.
The Role
The successful applicant will assist in the evaluation, development, implementation and review of policies, procedures and strategies and participate in the ongoing identification of funding requirements.
You will also assist with ensuring compliance with the Branch’s and Division’s policies, procedures, and standards; and build alliances with customers, stakeholders, interest groups and across Education Business Services (EBS) to enable development, acceptability, and achievement of designated outcomes.
Public schools in Western Australia operate with a one-line budget and are funded through the Student-Centred Funding Model (SCFM). The School Funding team is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and refinement of the SCFM to ensure its continued improvement and responsiveness to the evolving resourcing requirements of schools. This includes the delivery of a budget in excess of $4 billion to public schools on an annual basis.
This role is tasked with undertaking complex financial modelling and analysis to enable you to make recommendations on the allocation of resources to schools in accordance with the funding allocation mechanism. In this role, you will provide contemporary financial management advice and assist with the detailed preparation of annual budgets to public schools.
The successful applicant will help with evaluating, developing, implementing and reviewing funding related policies, procedures and strategies and participate in the ongoing identification of school funding needs. To be appointed to this role, you will ideally have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective networks across the organisation.
