Anne Hamersley Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. The Role
Our strong team of teachers and support staff give our school the strength and unique flavour that distinguish it as a school of choice in the Ellenbrook area. Our specialist teachers in the arts, physical education, Science, Music, and LOTE (Auslan), ensure that we have a balanced and engaging curriculum.
Suitable applicants will ideally be passionate, motivated, and skilled educators who should be committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching, and instructional strategies. They should pursue excellence in teaching, have high expectations and value planning in collaborative teams to develop consistent, high-quality teaching and learning programs. It is desirable that applicants possess a high level of collaborative practice, together with interpersonal skills, to enable effective participation and engagement within the school and community to purposefully build partnerships. Applicants will also preferably actively engage in self-reflection and the classroom observation and feedback cycle.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess proficiency in current and effective teaching practice and be supportive of the school’s ethos, strategic goals, and directions. Knowledge of Explicit Instruction, InitiaLit, Talk for Writing, the Science of Reading, Origo Stepping-Stones and a CRA numeracy approach, would be highly desirable. We are looking for applicants who display data informed practice to differentiate effectively, resulting in high levels of achievement and progress for all students.
