Eastern Goldfields College is seeking a Teacher – Design & Technology - Automotive to join their high-quality regional school.

The Role

As a Design and Technology Teacher you will ideally provide high quality teaching and learning opportunities in our Trades, Industry and Enterprise learning area, while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We’re looking for an engaging, energetic teacher, who is a future thinker, someone who can build upon our traditional trades courses and build capacity to meet the needs of our twenty-first Century learners by preparing them for real-world futures in Trades, Industry and Enterprise

We’re looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, who is committed to promoting and fostering student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated. Ideally, you should be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative, and able to work effectively in a team environment. You should reflect and assess the effectiveness of your teaching practice using a variety of methods available, promote an environment of active and positive learning and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and the capacity to teach students of varying ability levels across Year 11 and 12 in a safe and accountable learning environment, differentiating curriculum where needed. Knowledge and experience in teaching Certificate Courses, metal fabrication, building and construction, or a passion for developing and teaching industrial systems being highly regarded.
