Onslow is a coastal town in the West Pilbara Region of Western Australia about 300km southwest of Karratha. The school has enrolment for students from Kindy to Year 12 with a current student population of 160 students. The opportunities within education are enhanced through partnerships with local industry within the town which has a culturally diverse student population where we acknowledge Thalanyji First Nations people. The Role
The successful applicant will value the importance of whole school connected practice. A strong knowledge and application of explicit teaching along with high impact strategies as described in the Department of Education (DOE) Teaching for Impact resources is essential. As an educator you will ideally possess skills in data literacy to support student learning, particularly in English and Mathematics. In addition, an understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches and culturally responsive pedagogies are important components of your professional practice to enhance the class learning environment.
