Greenwood College is seeking to recruit an experienced Manager of Corporate Services to join the executive team in leading College finance, future direction, human resources, and building the positive public profile of the school.
The Manager of Corporate Services is responsible for implementing sound consistent management and budgeting practices and systems. The successful applicant will ideally have well established financial management capabilities, be a strategic financial leader and possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You should also review current school financial practices, implement improvements, and have experience in using the Schools Resourcing System. You will ideally be flexible and reliable and able to work independently with autonomy. Proven experience in a Senior High School setting is essential and experience in managing a building program would be highly regarded. .
The successful applicant will work with the Administration Support Team on delivering improved outcomes. As a member of the leadership team, the Manager Corporate Services will share the responsibility for inspiring and leading support staff in their commitment to the core values of the school and will provide strategic advice on financial and physical resourcing processes.
The Manager Corporate Services is intrinsically involved in the implementation of the school's Business Plan and the implementation of changes necessary for the progression of our priorities. The successful applicant should also have a broad understanding of relevant legislation, reporting and governance requirements relating to the role, and effectively display the ability to lead a team of school support staff.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work-related requirements (selection criteria):
- Highly developed skills leading, managing, and facilitating a team to deliver strategic business outcomes using sound customer service principles and practices.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in financial management and budget preparation and an understanding of the financial regulatory framework, including the Australian Accounting Standards, the Financial Management Act, tax legislatures and other relevant legislation.
- Highly developed human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and apply human resource management practices and systems.
- Substantial experience in the development, implementation, management and monitoring of strategic business, marketing and operational plans.
- Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively with a wide range of individuals at all levels.
- Substantial research, conceptual and risk management skills, including the ability to provide innovative solutions to strategic and complex problems and issues.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
