Are you an aspirational Senior School Student Services Manager looking to extend your experience and knowledge by working in a new context for 10 weeks?
Gilmore College is seeking to appoint a highly relational leader to join our Student Services Team in the fixed term position of Program Coordinator: Senior School (Year 10-12) for an immediate start Term 3. The successful applicant will ideally exhibit a deep commitment to the shared responsibility and accountability of leading a complex school environment and be driven by a personal value to transform lives through positive relationships.
The successful applicant should have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills that will enable the effective development and maintenance of strong relationships with staff, students, and the school community; this is an important aspect of the role as we are heading into the last term with our Year 12 students.
As Program Coordinator: Senior School (Years 10-12) you will be expected to work autonomously and as a highly functioning member of a large Student Services Team which delivers the best possible social, emotional and wellbeing outcomes for a diverse range of students across the range of school programs. Together with the Associate Principal (AP): Excellence in Teaching and a dedicated L2 Year Coordinator for 10,11 &12 you should exhibit an in-depth working knowledge of both School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) requirements. Highly desirable to the position is an ability to work with students and teaching staff to analyse and validate student performance data to co-design evidenced based improvement strategies or identify more suitable pathways.
The successful applicant will work closely with the AP on the following operational responsibilities:
- Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA),
- Reporting to Parents (RTP)
- SIRS (Student Information Records System).
- Senior School Transition processes
- Senior School Examination processes and rosters
- Year 12 End of Year Events
- Behaviour management
- Tracking of students social and emotional wellbeing
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs);
- Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
