The Role and our Branch
Infrastructure is seeking a highly motivated Principal Consultant to join their executive team.

The Infrastructure Division within Education Business Services, has responsibility for the provision of facilities (land, buildings and equipment) for the Department, which includes demographic forecasting and facilities planning, strategic asset management, delivery of capital projects, maintenance and minor works programs. The Division also provides security, emergency management and environmental services to schools.
We are seeking an individual who can adapt to change and work under pressure to achieve desired outcomes in a highly demanding environment, often with urgent and competing priorities. The successful applicant will draw upon extensive experience to deal with sensitive and confidential information with tact and discretion. This includes managing the timeliness and accuracy of deliverables, conducting research and gathering information on matters to ensure divisional priorities are efficiently and effectively met. You will be contributing to and coordinating projects and building strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

- Demonstrated high-level planning and organisational skills with a proven ability to implement processes to facilitate monitoring, reporting and the delivery of outcomes on schedule in a demanding environment.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
