The Department of Education is seeking a dedicated senior executive to lead the strategies and improve the services that support student engagement and wellbeing across the public school system.
We want a leader with a deep understanding of the public school system and the needs of its school leaders and teachers, to ensure the strategies and services designed to build and promote student engagement and wellbeing will deliver improved outcomes at the school and system level. This will include being able to strike the right balance between proactive services and support that enable the successful implementation of system strategy and directions, with agile, flexible responses that adapt to the specific contexts and challenges of individual schools.

About the Division
Statewide Services encompasses both school and system–facing service delivery functions, providing the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those schools and students that need it most.
About the role
As a key member of the Statewide Services’ senior leadership team, the Director Student Engagement and Wellbeing plays a vital role in leading the improvement of services and supports to public schools in alignment with system strategies, directions and priorities.
This position provides leadership and strategic advice to promote and support educational programs and practices that enable schools to effectively address the engagement and wellbeing needs of students in a manner that supports and promotes learning and achievement. As Director Student Engagement and Wellbeing, you will also support the effective and efficient application of consistent service delivery models and contemporary approaches of practice that demonstrate positive outcomes for students, school staff and parents.
