Appointment Pool
Harrisdale Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teachers, Kindergarten to Year 6 and Specialists (Visual Arts, Drama, Physical Education, Music, French, Science). The pool is for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2025 school year.

Our Teachers
Teachers at Harrisdale PS focus on fostering a safe and positive school culture by building effective relationships, creating a caring environment, and maintaining high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academics. You will ideally promote, monitor, and support student wellbeing, emphasising physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing domains as precursors for learning. You will ideally have excellent knowledge and commit to a focus on fidelity to whole school, connected practice; including the Harrisdale PS Lesson Design (explicit), Literacy and Numeracy Blocks, daily integration of technology through our Bring Your Own Device program (Years 3 – 6) and our Inquiry Model, creating authentic learning experiences that link to the United Nations Sustainable Goals. You should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging lessons with knowledge of The Early Years Learning Framework, WA Curriculum and Teaching for Impact. You will work collaboratively in teams to analyse and engage in professional dialogue on student achievement and progress, and to identify students in need of targeted intervention and extension. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
