Appointment Pool
Halls Head College (HHC) is seeking to establish a pool of Mathematics Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2025.
We currently have a Permanent, Full Time (FTE 1.0) position commencing Term 3, 2024 that we will fill from this pool.
HHC are seeking teachers who can utilise highly effective teaching practices and have a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. Suitable applicants should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Additionally, we seek teachers who possess the ability to effectively implement the College’s Positive Behaviour Schools (PBS) Behaviour Matrix and Behaviour Management flowchart.
Adopting inclusive practices, building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role. You should be committed to developing curiosity, innovation, and imagination in every person through inspiring minds and learning for life. The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students is a key element to this position.
An excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner to instil our students with a passion for Mathematics is highly sought after. Applicants who can successfully deliver Senior School courses, both Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and General, offered by the College would be highly desirable. We seek passionate and motivated teachers who can extend, adjust, and accommodate student needs accordingly to maximise progress in Mathematics.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
