The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is the State’s premier Art Museum. Situated in the heart of Perth’s Cultural Centre, the Main and Centenary Galleries house the State Art Collection of over 18,600 works by renowned local and international artists from the 1800’s to today, including approximately 3,000 Aboriginal works. In 2020, the Gallery celebrated 125 years of operation.

This position is located in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.

About the position

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong all-rounder to assist the Art Gallery with facilities management tasks. AGWA is looking for someone who has the ability to multitask, manage and prioritise their workload and complete assigned tasks and small projects to ensure that the facilities area supports the gallery in its’ smooth running.  If you have time management and problem solving skills, we would like to hear from you.

Other Conditions

This is a full time, fixed-term vacancy of twenty-four months with a possibility of extension and/or permanency.

A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered - and fixed term, part time and full time.
