Jerramungup District High School (DHS) is seeking an Early Childhood Education - Teacher to join their high quality regional school.

Applicants must be able to display that they are able to develop and implement creative and reflective learning programs that support student learning. They will have a high level of community engagement and understand how to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, the wider community and external agencies. The staff of Jerramungup are a friendly and collaborative team who provide a positive supportive environment for students, staff and community. Jerramungup District High School is located in the wheat and sheep farming community of Jerramungup, 440km south east of Perth. It is situated within the Fitzgerald Biosphere which is part of the acclaimed Fitzgerald National Park, located to the east of Jerramungup. A short drive will also take you to the costal community of Bremer Bay home to some of the best beaches in the world.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
