Sevenoaks Senior College (SC) are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join their friendly team in the role of Program Coordinator - Student Outcomes.
About the Role
The successful applicant will provide direction and leadership to the Teaching Quality and Student Achievement and Progress priorities across the College. You should possess the knowledge and skills to interrogate School Curriculum and Standard Authority (SCSA) compliance, data and reports, whilst disseminating and presenting this information to colleagues. Ideally, you will upskill teachers whilst maintaining their capacity to effectively using data and evidence for moderation, grading and the improvement of teaching and learning programs.
The successful will ideally be a leader who is focussed on supporting student success through a positive approach to monitoring individual student achievement to support students in achieving their future pathway options. You will work closely with other members of the leadership team to monitor curriculum delivery and student achievement. This will include facilitating Language, Literacy and Numeracy initiatives and intervention strategies for students. You will have overall responsibility for the monitoring of a designated year group.
You should display high level skills with data organisation and the ability to interpret data for the benefit of student progress. You should have a sound knowledge of contemporary evidence based teaching strategies which will support student engagement with their learning, whilst at the same time understand the need for culturally inclusive classrooms. There is an associated responsibility of leading a group of teachers as their line manager. You will also establish and manage administrative and operational systems in the relevant area of responsibility, to ensure the effective operation of your portfolio within the school, in accordance with Department policies and guidelines.

This will be evidenced by student achievement and progression through their senior school years.
The College offers a suite of programs involving a comprehensive range of Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses, Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications both on-site and at external providers. We have a Trade Training Centre delivering automotive and engineering certificates and a soon to be completed dedicated Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) centre to promote engineering. We also offer the Big Picture program and have recently added Curtin UniReady as a pathway for students. Sevenoaks SC has partnerships with the Polly Farmer Follow the Dream program for our Aboriginal students and Waalitz Foundation.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
- Capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
