Appointment Pool
Cape Naturaliste College are seeking to establish a pool for appointments of Mathematics Teachers to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.

About the role
The suitable applicants will be active contributors to the Mathematics learning area and should be reflective in their practice to support professional growth and improve educational outcomes for students. You will ideally possess a sound understanding of the Mathematics curriculum and courses, an ability to teach at an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level will be highly regarded. Knowledge and the ability to use high impact learning strategies to successfully engage students in Mathematics should be evident in your practice.
The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students is a key element to this position. You will ideally build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students and utilise evidence-based decision-making skills within your practice.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
