Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies for Health and Physical Education Teachers which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.

About the position
The suitable applicants will be highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic in the promotion of Physical Education and Health within the school and will be responsible for the coordination and organisation of all school sporting events. They will also be well organised, motivated and committed to developing positive relationships and high expectations for all students.
Knowledge and competency in the Physical and Health Education component of the Western Australian (WA) Curriculum and reporting schedule is highly desirable. The ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Physical Education Studies and/or Outdoor Education is highly desirable.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
