The Role and our Branch
Statewide Services are seeking a Project Support Officer to join their dynamic, high paced workplace.

The successful applicant will support the Manager and Senior Project Officer, Swimming and Water Safety branch to progress a number of strategic projects and procurements. They will assist with the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of projects, procurements, initiatives, and strategies related to Swimming and Water Safety. They will monitor, evaluate and refine initiatives and strategies designed to improve the delivery of swimming and water safety education and, provide professional advice and support to stakeholders on the developments in the delivery of Swimming and Water Safety core services including related projects and strategies.

- Demonstrated well developed project management skills, including project planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement,
- training specific to this role required by Department policy,
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment, and
- the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
