This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2024.
Beechboro Primary School (PS) are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Manager Corporate Services (MCS) to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant should work closely with the Principal to manage the strategic day-to-day financial, physical and human resources aspects of the school's business operations.
We are seeking an MCS with highly developed interpersonal skills who can develop constructive, respectful and positive relationships with students, staff, parents and wider community. Strong marketing skills would be a bonus. The successful applicant should ensure that effective financial administration of the school's business operations is delivered including financial planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting to ensure achievement of the school's strategic and corporate financial objectives in line with the School Funding Agreement.
Ideally, applicants will have a thorough knowledge of the School Resourcing System, RM Finance and billing, Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) as well as high-level financial management skills.
Applicants who can work collaboratively as part of a team and have outstanding communication skills, especially when dealing with our diverse cultural school community will be highly regarded. High-level financial management skills with solid problem-solving skills are desirable.
We are seeking an MCS who is energetic and motivated, with proven flexibility to move between tasks and deliver outcomes while working to deadlines in a complex and fast paced environment.
Beechboro PS is a busy and dynamic school situated approximately 13 km East of Perth. Beechboro caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. We provide innovative and engaging classes for children. We enjoy very close bonds with our community who share our high expectations of student academic achievement and behaviour. Our school comprises families who speak as many as 35 distinctly different languages and dialects other than English. Almost 50% of our students are bilingual with many being trilingual. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes and sound customer service principles and practices.
- Well-developed oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
- sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- ability to provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
- sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within
- six months of appointment.
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
