Appointment Pool
Are you a dedicated Primary School Teacher with a strong commitment to collaborating with colleagues to facilitate differentiated educational outcomes for our students.
Camboon Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
We are seeking applicants who are motivated, innovative, and possess high quality teaching skills. They will be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole-school approaches, including Talk 4 Writing, PLD, Oxford Maths, PBS and participate in school collaborative planning through Teaching Sprints. Suitable applicants will be required to have excellent interpersonal skills, the capacity to work as part of an effective team and engage in whole school planning. We seek teachers with the ability to inspire students to develop an enthusiasm for learning in vibrant, engaging and supportive classrooms. You will have a proven ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Suitable applicants will display their capacity to effectively use a range of student data to inform their planning, teaching and assessment, and have a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
Camboon PS is an Independent Public School with students from a diverse range of backgrounds and a highly professional team of teachers and education assistants who provide explicit and engaging teaching and learning programs across all learning areas. Each teacher at Camboon PS is part of a collaborative team which ensures teaching and learning programs and assessments are consistent and that staff benefit from the sharing of expertise. Working as part of a team, teaching and non-teaching staff participate in whole school planning processes to plan for and implement consistent curriculum and policy from Kindergarten through to Year 6. Staff implement the Western Australian Curriculum and integrate technologies into teaching and learning programs using best practice approaches.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
