Yuluma Primary School (YPS) is seeking a dynamic teacher to work across the school delivering the Physical Education (PE) and Health curriculum from Pre-primary to Year 6
The successful applicant should be energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to the provision of high-quality teaching and learning programs, that are aligned to whole school approaches. This includes a strong commitment to inclusive practices, and the ability to differentiate their planning and instruction to meet the needs of all students.
This specialist role requires a high level of organisation skills in scheduling, planning, coordinating, and coaching for whole school sporting events, interschool sports, and other school programs, excursions, and activities. Exhibiting a willingness to write and submit grant applications to support PE and Health learning outcomes is highly desirable. The successful applicant should be self-motivated, prepared to enthusiastically embrace new opportunities, and work proactively towards achieving successful outcomes for all students. Applicants should display a strong knowledge of the WA Curriculum.

Yuluma PS is a level four, Independent Public School for Kindergarten – Year 6 students. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
