Tom Price Senior High School (SHS) is seeking an English Teacher to join their high quality regional school.

About the role
The successful applicant would be a dedicated and highly motivated educator, with the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. To be suitable for this role, you should be student and relationship focused, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment. You would reflect on and evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching practice using a variety of methods available within the school and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve success. Knowledge of Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) will also be an advantage.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply their expertise of the English Learning Area across Years 7 to 12, utilising their knowledge and teaching experience to encourage and support our students to achieve outstanding results. Ideally you will have experience in or a willingness to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English. You should also have an understanding of how to differentiate your teaching to meet the needs of a diverse range of students in your classes.

The location and community
Tom Price sits within the Shire of Ashburton and is some 747 metres above sea level, making it the highest town in WA and a haven for the weary traveller. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
